These nasty beasts called Ekimmara apparently have a taste for horse flesh. I've wanted to paint up a horse for a while now and I guess this is the warm-up for the Lost Mount figure coming later.
Painting this one took a bit longer than the first due to the extra detail and a few more colors used. It also took longer because I fiddled with the skin a bit more than I would have liked just to get it looking a little more interesting than it was after my first attempt.
I like the little grassy tuft as the hint of the greenish color adds a nice contrast to the reddish skin hues. There was a lot going on in the face of this model and I got kind of lost as to how to go about painting it. It was still a fun model to paint and marks two of the three 1st level beasts complete before allowing myself to play the first game!
The Epic Basing Reeds added a nice touch of color and some additional interest to the base.
